As a Business Sociologist and Leadership Strategist, I've spent more than two decades, studying the relationship between people, work, leadership, and belonging. My journey began in foster care social work, expanded through human resources then organizational leadership, and eventually led me to the executive c-suite, where I served as a Chief Diversity Officer within academic medicine.

But my most important education didn't happen in a classroom. It happened through life as lived experience. I've navigated career transitions, leadership challenges, entrepreneurship, marriage, motherhood, reinvention, and the often messy process of discovering who you are beneath the roles you've been taught to perform.

Along the way, I noticed something about myself and others. Most people aren't struggling because they lack talent. They're struggling because they've never been properly oriented to themselves. They've been taught how to fit in, achieve, perform, and survive. Very few have been taught how to align with and nurture their inherent nature. That realization became the foundation of Satori Synergy. Satori is the Japanese word for that 'a-ha' moment of awareness when you realize who and where you are - orientation. Synergy is the alignment of all the parts of you after you've accepted who and where you are.

Today, I help professionals, leaders, entrepreneurs, and purpose-driven individuals understand how they are naturally designed to contribute, communicate, make decisions, build relationships, and create meaningful impact. My work integrates sociology, leadership development, organizational behavior, career strategy, Human Design, BG5, Astrology, Ikigai and purpose alignment into practical frameworks that help people stop forcing and start flourishing.
The goal isn't becoming like someone else. The goal is becoming more fully yourself, as your best-self and to thrive how you were uniquely designed to do so.

My Philosophy
I believe alignment is not a luxury. It's the most effective and efficient life, leadership and relationship strategy I've observed. When people understand their natural strengths, decision-making processes, motivations, and social roles, they become more effective leaders, healthier partners, stronger contributors, and more fulfilled human beings.
I know that once you understand yourself, that you can then understand your assignment and your role in society. That's why every service, workshop, assessment, and conversation at Satori Synergy is designed to help you move toward: A Softer Life. Stronger Leadership. Safer Relationships.
What is Business Sociology?
Business Sociology is my flagship framework that examines how people interact within organizations, communities, teams, and social systems. While traditional business approaches often focus on processes and performance, business sociology explores the human dynamics beneath the surface—culture, leadership, relationships, identity, trust, influence, belonging, and collective behavior. In simple terms: Business sociology helps us understand why people do what they do at work and how organizations can create environments where people and performance thrive together.

What is Human Design?
Human Design is a system of self-understanding that combines principles from ancient wisdom traditions and modern sciences to provide a blueprint of your natural energetic design. Human Design offers insight into:
-
Decision-making
-
Communication
-
Relationships
-
Personal strengths
-
Leadership style
-
Life themes
At its core, Human Design helps individuals understand how they are uniquely designed to navigate life and interact with others. My approach focuses less on labels and more on practical application. I call it Human Design in Real Life.

What is BG5?
Base Group of 5 is the career, business, leadership, and organizational application of Human Design. Developed through the BG5 Business Institute, BG5 translates Human Design principles into professional language and practical tools that can be applied within careers, businesses, teams, partnerships, and leadership development. BG5 focuses on understanding:
-
Natural work styles
-
Decision-making strengths
-
Leadership potential
-
Team dynamics
-
Career alignment
-
Partnership compatibility
As a Licensed & Certified BG5 Career Analyst & Business Consultant, I use BG5 to help clients understand how they are naturally designed to contribute, collaborate, and create value within professional and organizational environments.
Rather than asking, "Who should I become?" BG5 helps answer: "Who am I already designed to be?"

What is Executive Astrology?
My signature framework of Executive Astrology applies astrological archetypes and life-cycle patterns to leadership, career development, and personal growth. Rather than predicting events, Executive Astrology helps identify recurring themes, natural strengths, developmental opportunities, leadership styles, and major periods of transition. It provides a framework for understanding not only what you're experiencing, but why certain lessons, opportunities, and challenges emerge throughout different seasons of life. I am currently studying and practicing to certify as a Certified Business Astrologer.
What is Ikigai?
Ikigai is a Japanese concept often translated as "reason for being." It sits at the intersection of:
-
What you love
-
What you're good at
-
What the world needs
-
What you can be compensated for
At Satori Synergy, Ikigai serves as a practical framework for helping individuals align purpose, contribution, fulfillment, and sustainability. Because meaningful work isn't simply about passion. It's about creating value in a way that honors both your gifts and your life.
